“I HAVE A DREAM” PROGRAM

Designed to teach social responsibility and the power of teamwork, the “I Have a Dream” program encourages individual, family and community interest and involvement in charitable causes. It also demonstrates the impact a single idea can have and proves no dream is too big.

The Frank Edward Piccolo Foundation is pleased to announce the “I Have a Dream” program created to promote charitable giving and volunteerism among children and young adults. The program is scheduled to launch in October 2008. Through this program, children and teens will not only gain exposure to local, national and international community needs, but inspiration to help meet these needs. The program stems from the notion that youth can make a difference in bettering the world around us. Using examples of individuals and ideas that have made an impact on specific areas of need, the “I Have a Dream” program shows youth how they, too, can make a difference.

No Dream is Too Big ANNUAL CONTEST

The “I Have a Dream” program has developed an annual contest that encourages students to identify a need and develop a plan (or dream) for making a difference in the world. The contest is scheduled to launch in fall/winter 2008.

Helping to promote this program are local and national celebrities who are community advocates. The Foundation will evaluate submissions, select winning entries and support the winning entrants’ plans to help make their dreams come true. The contest also supports local schools by offering monetary award for schools with winning participants.

“I Have a Dream” contest entries will be posted on The Frank Edward Piccolo Foundation Web site. Check back often for updates on contest submissions and see for yourself the impact our youth are making to improve the future, starting now.
