Frank Piccolo
Frank Piccolo was born on January 18, 1929. He grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska, where he graduated from high school in 1947, and from the University of Nebraska in 1951. Frank then served with the United States Army Intelligence during the Korean Conflict, and upon his return he entered law school at the University of Nebraska.Frank married Patricia Lannan on November 21, 1953. After Frank fulfilled his life-long dream of graduating from law school, he and his wife moved to North Platte, Nebraska. There, Frank joined the law firm Beatty, Clark, Murphy and Morgan. He became a partner of this firm, later named Murphy, Pederson and Piccolo.
Frank loved to spend time with his four children (Mike, Jim, Nancy, and John) and serve others through his law practice, as well as the church and the community. He possessed a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people feel comfortable by bringing a smile to their faces with jokes or stories, or by simply flashing his contagious smile. Always a man of action, with a firm belief in working hard and in doing the right thing, he served on the North Platte Library Board, the Board of North Platte Catholic Schools, the North Platte Board of Public Works, and as a judge advocate for the local American Legion Post. He was also an active member of the third- and fourth-degree Knights of Columbus. His genuine love for people and strong values shined through in so many ways. Frank distinguished himself in his law profession and received recognition with an invitation to become a Fellow of the American College of Trial Attorneys, as well as a Board member of the National Association of Trial Attorneys.
Throughout his life, Frank passionately devoted himself to serving and making a difference in the lives of others. Frank passed away on July 6, 1987, at the age of 57, after a courageous fight with cancer.
